Salvation
Salvation.. Are you saved?
Salvation is defined as: Saving of a person from sin or danger.
Sin is defined as: Offense against God.
We are all sinners, since Adam and Eve. It is in our nature.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, So that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Notice this verse has three key points.
1 That God gave His only son,
2 that everyone(or whoever) that excludes NO ONE, everyone is free to accept Christ. And
3 there is eternal life for those who believe.
John 14:6 I(meaning Jesus) am the way, the truth, and the life. no man comes to the Father but through me.
The only way to heaven and eternal life is through Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the FREE gift is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Being that we are all sinners we have a price to pay, But Jesus settled that debt. All we have to do is accept it.
Revelation 3:20 Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Once we realize that we are sinners and Jesus has paid the ultimate price for us, He will stand and wait for us to hear Him and open that door. Just ask him to come in. It will change your life forever.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. 9 Not by works, so that no one can boast.
Some people think that if they live a good life that they have an automatic pass to get into heaven. Like the verse says, it’s by God’s grace. It’s not anything we can do.
1John 5:11-13 11And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12So whoever has God’s Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. 13I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
It’s right there in the scripture. He who has the Son, has life.
I encourage you, if you don’t know if you are saved, pray this prayer:
Lord, I am a sinner. without you I have nothing. I accept you into my heart as my Lord and personal savior. I turn away from my sin and look to you for guidance. Help me from here on out and help me everyday to bring glory to You. Amen Now if you prayed that prayer, and meant it with all your heart. you have been born again. You are a new creature in Christ.(2 Corithians 5:17) All the old is gone. Find a good bible based church and discover the awesome power and fellowship with other believers.
